• Marmo Machinery USA extends its contract with E.A.M. Technology Systems of Massa, Italy, as the exclusive distributor of E.A.M.’s CNC machines and waterjet machines for the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands through 2008. Phil Mularoni, president of Southfield, Mich.-based Marmo Machinery and E.A.M. President Oreste Pierucci renewed their agreement at E.A.M.’s headquarters in late September; Marmo Machinery will continue to distribute the CTEC 2, CTEC 3 and CTEC 4 CNC machines, as well as E.A.M.’s waterjet.
• CaesarStone USA of Sun Valley, Calif., announces partnerships with two southeastern distributors – The Hardwood Group and BPI – to widen availability of the quartz product throughout the southern United States. Charlotte, N.C.-based Hardwood will enable CaesarStone to widely market and distribute its quartz surfaces in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The partnership with Memphis, Tenn.-based BPI expands distribution throughout Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.
• Aqua Mix launches a new Website designed to be a more user-friendly resource with reorganized information and a more-intuitive format. The site from the Corona, Calif., company is essentially divided into two sections for home and professional users, along with the Surface Finder to helps a user identify a surface and match it to the proper products and care regimen. Also new is a Resource Center for easy access to care and maintenance recommendations, and a zip-code-based Where To Buy search engine.
• The National Training Center for Stone & Masonry Trades (NTC) is now a registered provider of continuing-education credits for American Institute of Architects (AIA) members; the first set of seminars under the arrangement will be at the International Tile and Stone Show (ITSS) in Las Vegas this month.
• Schechner Lifson Corp. will move to 4 Chatham Road, Summit, NJ 07902, effective Dec. 12. The toll-free numbers of 800-279-9360 (800-475-0826 in New Jersey) remains the same, as well the Website at www.saferocks.com.
