ITSS Expands Reach With Brazil 2006
NEW YORK – ITSS Expos announced in mid-July that the stone-and-tile exhibition company will add a fourth site to its 2006 calendar: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
ITSS will launch its first non-U.S. event next June 15-17 at the Riocentro convention complex in Rio’s Barra da Tijuca district. The event will have the backing of SIMAGRAN RIO, the State Stone Association of Rio; the Rio government; and ABIROCHAS, the Brazilian National Association of Stone.
Richard Caires, ITSS Expos president, states that the company’s expansion plans are proceeding on schedule with the addition of the important Brazilian show site.
“ITSS Expos’ stated mission is to establish a portfolio of high-quality stone and machine shows in the most strategic world class venues,” he says. “Rio joins our roster of U.S.-based shows in Las Vegas, New York and Miami to provide complete coverage in the best venues of the Western Hemisphere. As with all ITSS shows, we will focus on value and service.
“ITSS Expos has enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the Brazilian stone industry,” Caires adds. “ U.S. buyers are already familiar with our trade shows. We will now be able to bring these buyers directly to Brazil to do business.”
The 2006 ITSS lineup, in addition to Rio, includes Miami on March 24-26, New York on July 20-22 and the fall show in Las Vegas. This year’s ITSS Las Vegas will be held on Nov. 11-13 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
