MIA Sets 2009 Pinnacle Awards

For this year’s awards, projects will be judged in four categories: Commercial Interior, Commercial Exterior, Residential Interior or Exterior and Renovation/Restoration. An independent panel of judges, selected by the MIA’s board of directors, will evaluate entries based on excellence in design and implementation, quality, workmanship and suitability of materials.
In addition, the Grande Pinnacle Award will be bestowed on the best entry among all category winners. The award, sponsored by the Marmomacc stone event in Verona, Italy, includes one round-trip economy airfare to Verona, four nights’ hotel room, meals and registration to Marmomacc in 2010.
The Pinnacle Awards competition is open to all MIA member companies. Project teams must include at least one MIA member company. Entries submitted must comply with standards as defined in the MIA Dimension Stone Design Manual. To be eligible, projects must have been completed in January 2006-July 2009.
Multiple entries are encouraged and accepted. The fee is $95 for the first entry, and $85 each for subsequent entries.
All entries need to be received at MIA headquarters by 5 p.m. EDT on July 10; winners will be announced in October at StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas 2009 in Las Vegas.
