Stone Company Gets a Makeover
ST. LOUIS – If you’re thinking about getting some green in your shop – whether in sustainable products or just the cash to survive – there may be some help via a national business magazine.
Fortune Small Business, in its April issue, featured Absolute Tile and Stone in St. Louis as a client in its regular “Makeover” series of professional advice. Sander Coovert, Absolute’s president, asked the magazine to take a look at his fabrication business and its efforts to go green and also stay afloat in today’s economic client.
The magazine sent in three consultants to focus on Absolute’s energy consumption, green practices and general business operations. The answers won’t fit with everyone’s stone shop, but it’s an interesting look at how advisors from outside the industry view a typical medium-size stone shop.
