• Universal Laser Systems Inc. adds Ron Emerman as director of finance and information management, and David Wilhite as its marketing coordinator. Emerman brings 30 years of domestic and international managerial experience to the Scottsdale, Ariz., company, and recently served as COO/CFO of Imaging Logistics Corp. Wilhite’s experience includes more than 20 years in advertising and marketing.
• Sam Koontz joins Global Granite & Marble as director of its just-launched Global Architectural Products division. Previous to joining St. Louis-based Global, Koontz served as director of architectural sales and fulfillment for Arizona Tile in Phoenix for 12 years.
• Pearl Abrasive Co. promotes Tim Donovan to national sales manager. Previously, Donovan worked as marketing manager; he holds 20 years of experience in the power-tool industry.
• Eric Demaree joins Q.E.P. Co. Inc. as executive vice president of sales to QEP/Roberts/Capitol. He has been involved in the flooring industry for over 30 years. Also, Wayne Harley comes to the Boca Raton, Fla., company as vice president of commercial sales, along with Jeff Johnson as vice president of marketing, from Capitol USA. And, Jamie Clingan, formerly vice president of marketing and commercial sales, is now responsible for the Q.E.P. international sales division.
• Patrick O’Brien, executive director of the Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association (CSDA), recently became president of the International Association of Concrete Drillers and Sawers (IACDS) at the organization’s annual meeting in Zurich, Switzerland.
• Schlüter Systems adds Corey Stevens and Jason McFarlane as reps for the Plattsburgh, N.Y., company. Stevens will provide field support for Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota; McFarlane is the new Northern Florida/Southern Georgia territory manager.
