• Pierre Andary takes over management of Sales & Marketing Stone for Diamant Boart, replacing José J. Manzano, who retired. Andary is the former Area Manager North Countries for the company.
• VIC International Corp. promotes Kathy Taylor and Ed Leonard in the stone-fabrication division of the Knoxville, Tenn.,company. Taylor is now the executive assistant to the president with overall responsibility for trade shows; Leonard will move to inside sales. The two previously worked in the restoration and maintenance division that VIC sold earlier this year.
• The Florida chapter of Boys’ Town of Italy Inc. names Nick DiTempora, MAPEI Americas president, as 2005 Man of the Year. The group, which supports the needs of children in Italy, cited DiTempora’s personal interest in the welfare of children in honoring him.
• New in-the-field technical consultants for MAPEI in North America are Tom Dzurenda, serving the East Coast from Virginia to Georgia, based in Fredericksburg, Va.; Jeff Chapman, covering Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas from Garland, Texas; Kirk Bailey, handling Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming from Tempe, Ariz.; Steve Conde, working from San Bernardino, Calif., for customers in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington; Pascal Gagnon, responding in Ontario from a Toronto base; and Darryl Wilson, handling Alaska, Washington and western Canada.
