• Braxton-Bragg Corp. opens a 25,000 ft² warehouse this month in Fresno, Calif. The new facility will offer all of the company’s products and better serve West Coast customers with faster delivery and lower shipping costs, including Hazmat materials that can now go by ground instead of being air-shipped. The company will maintain its 34,000 ft² warehouse at its Knoxville, Tenn., headquarters.
• TEC will offer free programs for architects on the installation and care of stone, including information on maintenance systems. The programs are approved by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and qualify for continuing-education credits (CEUs).
• StoneTech Professional will offer its two-day program on the care, maintenance and restoration of natural stone, tile and grout this fall, including stops in Lake Worth, Fla (Oct. 14-15); Houston (Oct. 29-30); Phoenix (Nov. 19-20); and Pleasant Hill, Calif. (Dec. 3-4).
• F. Barlow Inc. now offers a Website for its line of stone-transport accessories. The Milwaukee company manufactures custom stone carriers that mount on vans, pickups and larger trucks.
• Delta Diamond Tools is a new tooling source for marble- and granite-fabrication needs, including polishing pads, sealers, adhesives, routers, diamond tooling and saw blades, as well as stone-care products. Kevin Amory, a 20-year industry veteran, is the manager for the Southfield, Mich.-based company.
• Marble Source Unlimited opened its new state-of-the-art fabrication center and retail design center in Bridgeville, Del., last month. The 16,000 ft² facility includes a designer showroom and on-site stone yard for one-stop shopping; the production facilities, servicing the Washington-Baltimore-Philadelphia area, includes the capacity to fabricate and install more than 100 granite kitchens a week.
