StoneTech Professional Inc. took a spot on the Inc 500 list for 2002 of fastest-growing private companies in October. The company made its initial appearance in the listings, compiled annually by Inc magazine.
StoneTech, which manufacturers care products for stone, tile and grout, achieved more than 1,450-percent growth in the past five years, according to the magazine. The company was founded in 1996.
“Being ranked on the Inc 500 has been one of my goals for several years,” says Michael N. Guasch, StoneTech’s president. “Our next goal is to make the list again, in 2003, with the ultimate goal of achieving five-time-ranking ‘Hall of Fame’ status.
“We are going to achieve this growth by developing new products and ventures, further increasing our value to current and future customers, while continuing to provide world-class products and service,” he adds.
The company also plans some other moves by the end of the year; product manufacturing will move to a 40,000-ft² facility in Pittsburg, Calif., and the corporate headquarters will relocate to Walnut Creek, Calif.
