StonExpo ’09 Education Open
Hanley Wood Exhibitions, the event’s owners, is now asking for proposals for classes/workshops at StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas 2009 on Oct. 21-24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. As in previous years, the education lineup will provide in-depth, comprehensive three-hour workshops; 90-minute seminars; and forum discussions to generate ideas, find solutions and motivate attendees to overcome the current challenging economic conditions.
All proposals should fall under one of the following educational tracks:
• business management;
• building/design;
• fabrication/installation; or
• sales/marketing.
ndustry speakers, subject matter experts and professional speakers are encouraged to submit proposals intended for all levels of experience. Sessions should be designed using interactive learning formats and focus on best practices and the latest industry-related topics affecting fabricators/installers, distributors/retailers, architects/engineers, designers and kitchen/bath dealers.
Presentations promoting products or services won’t be included.
The deadline for submitting proposals is January 12, 2009. The StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas Education Advisory Council will review all accepted proposals and base evaluations on overall quality, originality and timeliness of topic, past speaker and session ratings and/or professional experience, practical application of materials or ideas, and relevance of content to the stone industry.
Final selections will be made in May 2009.
