StonExpo Education Set; Registration Open
Anyone registered for the trade exhibits will also gain free admittance to the 2008 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Las Vegas Product Show held in conjunction with StonExpo. The event from the AIA’s local chapter will be held for one day only – Oct. 16 – from 3 p.m.-8 p.m.
StonExpo’s trade-floor attendees can also participate in two free segments of the event’s educational program: StoneLIVE! and StonExchange.
StoneLIVE! offers eight real-time, how-to sessions from Oct. 16-18, right on the trade-show floor. Members of the Stone Fabricators Alliance (SFA) take on topics such as seaming, templating and material handling.
StonExchange, also offered on the floor at StonExpo’s trade show, gives attendees a chance for active give-and-take with industry leaders in seven 30-minute sessions, also from Oct. 16-18. The lineup includes a “meet the experts” panel, as well as presentations from the Marble Institute of America, the Natural Stone Council and the SFA; it’s a free program, but attendees need to sign up during online registration.
The registration also includes the annual StonExpo conference program, with seven three-hour workshops on Oct. 15, and 33 seminars from Oct. 16-18. This year’s selection includes nine new sessions; continuing education units (CEUs) are available for members of the American Institute of Building Design, the National Kitchen and Bath Association, and the AIA.
Seminars and workshop registration is available on an ala-carte basis, or in combination packages. Discounts are available for all educational programs until Sept. 25.
