Aug. 31 Deadline for MIA Migliore Award (Aug. 16)

The deadline for the Pinnacle Awards is tomorrow, at the end of the five-day extension to enter the industry’s prestigious competition for natural-stone usage worldwide. In addition to the varied categories and the overall honor of Grand Pinnacle Award, the architect involved with this year’s Grand Pinnacle will receive air travel and lodging for the 2012 edition of the Verona, Italy-based Marmomacc trade show (the sponsor of the Grand Pinnacle Award).

The Pinnacles are open to all MIA member companies for projects completed from January 2008 to this July. Projects submitted must comply with MIA standards as defined in MIA’s Dimension Stone Design Manual and MIA Technical Modules. Rules and entry forms are available here.

The Migliore Award for Lifetime Achievement deadline is now Aug. 31. The awar recognized an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to the natural-stone industry and the MIA, and is is named for MIA’s long-time technical director, the late Vincent R. Migliore, who was its first recipient. Award winners are chosen by the MIA Board of Directors.

The MIA Natural Stone Scholarship retains its deadline of Sept. 9.
