EnviroSLAB®
Enviroglas Products opened its doors in 2002 to produce terrazzo floors from resin and the recycled-glass and -porcelain products collected in Plano, Texas. Since then, the company added EnviroSLAB® for countertops, as well as EnviroPLANK® terrazzo flooring planks, EnviroTRAZ® poured-in-place terrazzo, and EnviroSCAPE® landscape material, all made with a choice of colored epoxy resins. EnviroSLAB is suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and other countertop applications. Available in two sizes – 27” X 84” X 1” (nominal) and 60” X 84” X 1” (nominal) – EnviroSLAB is resistant to common stains and easily cleaned using neutral cleaners. It emits no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and does not require sealing. Enviroglas ships nationwide, and specialty aggregates, clear and custom-pigmented epoxy resins are available on request.

HanStone® Quartz
HanStone® Quartz is the flagship surfacing material of Hanwha Surfaces, a division of the North American subsidiary of the South Korean-based Hanwha Corp. As part of the HanStone line, the company offers five different shades that incorporate recycled materials: Specchio White, Passion Rouge, Mystic Blue, Obsidian Black and Genesis; the company is currently focused on expanding its green-product line in 2011. All HanStone Quartz surfaces are available in 1.2cm, 1.5cm, 2cm and 3cm thicknesses. Except for the 1.2cm material, slab size is 55” X 120”, and the slabs come with a residential lifetime warranty. All are heat-, bacteria- and stain-resistant, are suitable for both kitchen and bathroom use, and are NSF 51- and GREENGUARD?-certified. HanStone Quartz is available nationwide.

IceStone®
IceStone®, made from 100-percent recycled glass in a cement matrix, is available throughout the United States and Canada through a network of dealers or direct from the company’s facility. IceStone is sold in a variety of designer colors; the Classic Collection boasts 20 different shades, from whites to reds, blues, grays and greens, while the Refined Collection – made with smaller particles of glass – incorporates eight colors, again in a broad color spectrum. IceStone is sold in a standard 1 1/4” thickness suitable for countertops and new flooring, and slabs measure 52 1/2” X 96”. Slabs are sold with a polished finish, but may be honed or sandblasted by the fabricator. IceStone is also completely VOC- (volatile organic compound) free, is NSF 51-certified, eligible for LEED® points, and is the only such material to have earned Gold Cradle-to-Cradle® certification.
