GRINDER
Metabo Corp., West Chester, Pa., introduces the 6″ W11-150 Quick Compact Class Angle Grinder with a 9.6-Amp motor capable of a 9,000-rpm no-load speed and the Metabo Vibratech (MVT) side handle for reducing vibration. Additional features on the 6-lbs unit include a large, accessible spindle lock button and the Metabo “S-Automatic” safety slip clutch.

BEARING RINGS
Electro Static Technology, Mechanic Falls, Maine, offer AEGIS SGR™ Bearing Protection Rings, extending the lives of motors controlled by variable frequency drives (VFDs). The shaft-grounding ring channels harmful VFD-induced shaft currents safely to ground. Because it comes in halves, the SGR ring can be installed in the field without disconnecting the motor from coupled equipment. Standard kits fit NEMA-frame motors with shaft diameters from 0.625” to 3.375”, and IEC-frame motors with shaft diameters from 19mm to 95mm. Custom kits are also available.

CORDLESS HAMMER, DRILL/DRIVER
Hilti Inc., Tulsa,Okla., introduces the SFH 18-A CPC Hammer Drill/Driver and the SF 18-A CPC Drill/Driver for for drilling holes in masonry, stone and other hard materials. The cordless tools feature all-metal gearing for smooth transfer of power, 750 in/lbs of torque, 2,140 RPM and three speeds. The ultramide glass-fiber reinforced tool and battery housing helps protect against drops, and the battery cells are designed with electronic monitoring that protects against over-heating, overloading and deep discharge.

GRINDER/CUTTER CONVERTER
Alpha Professional Tools®, Oakland, N.J., introduces the Wet Blade Cutting Kit (WBCKIT) – an accessory for angle grinders to turn a dry grinder into a wet cutting tool for use with diamond blades. The package includes a safety guard, water hose and supplies, as well as a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).

MULTI SEAM-SETTERS
Omni Cubed Inc., Placerville, Calif., offers the Multi-Seam Expansion Kit for the Automatic Seam Setter VC2, including two seam setters, coil tube adapter, and storage case. The U.S.-made kit enables installers to “chain-link” setters for longer seams; two different seams can be set (up to 14’ apart) with use of the coil tube. One vacuum pump powers up to four seam-setter units.

PAVER SAND
The QUIKRETE® Companies Inc., Atlanta, introduces PowerLoc™ Jointing Sand, a polymer-modified, graded sand specially designed for sweeping into paving-stone joints, as part of the HardScapes™ by QUIKRETE® line. Once placed and dampened, the non-staining sand hardens to lock pavers in place, providing a stable surface that is resistant to erosion, weed growth and insects. The jointing sand is available in a light and dark variation.
