SALT-WATER SEALER
DuPont™ StoneTech® Professional, Walnut Creek, Calif., introduces its Salt Water Resistant Sealer for protecting natural -stone and masonry surfaces around salt-water pools. The solution keeps water with dissolved salt from penetrating; it also protects against water-based stains, and is weather- and UV-resistant. The water-based sealer, with three-year durability, is suitable for porous tile, natural stone, concrete, terracotta and grout; it’s available in one-gallon, five-gallon and 55-gallon quantities.

MOISTURE SEALERS
MAPEI Americas, Deerfield Beach, Fla., introduces MAPEI Planiseal™ Easy fresh concrete treatment and Planiseal EMB premium epoxy moisture barrier. Planiseal Easy helps fast-track installations for new construction slabs during the curing process by treating concrete slabs (at least 14 days old) that exhibit moisture vapor emission rates (MVERs) up to 8 lbs. per 1,000 ft² per 24 hours. Planiseal EMB is a heavy-duty, two-component system for commercial applications where there are existing moisture problems that must be addressed before work can proceed; the solution can be dry and ready for flooring installations in eight to 12 hours.
FAST ADHESIVE
Permabond, Somerset, N.J., offers its Permabond® Engineering Adhesives 791 surface-insensitive cyanoacrylate for faster curing on acidic and porous surfaces. The solution meets specifications for Commercial Standard A-A-3097 Type II Class 1 adhesives, and shows exceptional tensile strength and very high shear strength for applications that previously required a slower curing structural adhesive.
