SEMI-PRECIOUS STONES
Marble of the World, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., introduces the Exotica Semi-Precious Collection, featuring 19 unique colors and designs, each hand-made from individually cut-and-bound semi-precious stones. The collection is suited for both residential and commercial applications, with grey and brown agate, amethyst, three different types of quartz, hematite, tiger eye and petrified wood, among others.
THIN VENEER
Stonecleft LLC, Westchester, N.Y., introduces loose stone veneers to its Earthrox product line of thin veneer panels. The stone veneers are in the company’s Fieldstone and Ledgestone Stone styles, and come with flats and L-shaped corners, all less than 1 1/2” thick. Colors include Prairie Fieldstone, Elk Lodge Forest Stone, Bronze Mountain Ledgestone and Desert Gold Quartzite. Full veneers in those colors are also available.
VALUE VENEER
Glacier Stone Supply LLC, Kalispell, Mont., introduces its VE, or Value-Engineered, line of natural stone to compete with man-made products on a cost-effective basis for architectural-stone applications. Among the products in the VE line is the company’s Stillwater Blend, which is available as both a split face ledge full-stone veneer with a coverage rate of 50 ft² per ton and as a thin-veneer stone.

NEW WATERJET LINE
OMAX Corp., Kent, Wash., introduces the MAXIEM™ brand of waterjets, integrating proven technologies in a cost-efficient package. The inaugural model, the 1530MXC, will cut from large stock pieces, including stone, ceramic and composites. The 50,000 psi pump is available in 20 HP and 30 HP; like all MAXIEM waterjets, it features Intelli-MAX® Basic, a control containing the core functionality of OMAX’s production software, as well as the patent-pending X and Y-axis Traction Drive System designed to handle an abrasive environment.
TRACK SAW
Accuglide Saws, Atascadero, Calif., offers the 3000PRO track saw for stone, with a Bosch motor to handle 8” or 9” blades. The unit cuts within 1/4” of the edge and can handle 3cm stone; options include the ProCircle accessory to cut circles in 2cm-3cm stone from 17” to 144” in diameter.
HTO-GARBI
Marmo Meccanica SpA, Monsano, Italy presents the HTO-GARBI bridge saw for 3,200mm/125.9” X 3,200mm/125.9” useful cuts. The saw, suitable for small workshops, allows high-precision cuts, with laser alignment and a blade capacity of 350mm-500mm. The company sells through its own North American representatives, with service and parts through Marmo Parts & Service LLC.
