WATERJET PUMP
Jet Edge Inc., St. Michael, Minn., introduces the iP60-100S 100 HP 60,000 psi (4,100 bar) waterjet pump, priced at an affordable $62,500. A single intensifier version of the company’s 100 HP waterjet pump, the lower cost comes from eliminating the second intensifier. The pump produces 2.0 gpm (7.6 lpm) of ultra-high pressure water for precision waterjet cutting, water-blasting, cleaning and surface preparation-applications, supporting orifices up to .021” (.53mm).
ROTARY-HAMMER FAMILY
Hilti Inc., Tulsa, Okla., introduces the Hilti TE 30 Rotary Hammer family, all with outstanding balance, ergonomic design and a power-to-weight ratio of 850 watts at nine lbs. Units include the TE 30-C-AVR with hammering, drilling and chiseling abilities with an active vibration reduction system that cuts vibrations up to two-thirds when compared to conventional tools.’
GANTRY-SAW BLADES
Granite City Tool Co., Waite Park, Minn., offers SA Ogee backer pads for use with 4” diamond pads to polish ogee edges. The 3.25”-diameter backer has a rubber-coated edge for extra flexibility and four-way water separator to distribute the water flow; the Velcro® bottom holds the diamond pad.
EDGE POLISHER
Marmo Meccanica SpA, Monsano Italy, presents the LTV vertical edge-polisher for round and flat edges on 1cm-6cm slabs by means of a single cup-shaped diamond wheel for all radiuses and micro-oscillation for flat edges. The automatic positioning of the first auto-shaping mandrel and/or the chamfers, and electronic starting of the pneumatic mandrels, are available as options. BEVEL-EDGE WATERJET
OMAX Corp., Kent, Wash, introduces the A-Jet™, short for “articulated jet,” to cut accurate beveled edges by waterjet at angles determined by programming or the machine operator. Controlled by the company’s Intelli-MAX® software, the unit adds two motion axes that allow nozzle tilt within a range of 0° to 60° from the vertical position. The accessory features a fixed focal point design, where the XYZ axes need not be moved as the head tilts; it’s supplied with a MAXJET®5i nozzle.
MATERIALS CRUSHER
Multiquip Inc., Carson, Calif., introduces the EZ Grout Hog Crusher Job Site Material Recycler for crushing hard materials such as stone, masonry and brick. The hydraulic-powered unit can crush material down to pieces 2” or smaller with a one-half-yard hopper capacity and discharge rate up to ten tons per hour. Carbide bits can be replaced on the 24” crushing rotor.
