NEW QUARTZ
Cambria, LeSueur, Minn., offers 16 new colors in its quartz-surface line, bringing its total selection to 64. Ten of the new colors are included in the company’s Quarry Collection including Aragon, with a cream-and-caramel look, and Blackwood, a black mixed with caramel fossils and blue pearls. The remaining six new colors are in the company’s Desert Collection, including the blue-gray Decon; Minai, with black interlaced with mirror chips; and the marble-like Waverton.
MARBLE BORDER
Stone Pride International Corp., Anaheim, Calif., introduces Harmony, a new marble border combining design elements from European and Oriental cultures. The materials mix includes the European marbles of Crema Marfil and Emperador Dark Green, mixed with red and green onyx accents from central Asia.
EQUIPMENT
ABRASIVE EXTRACTOR
Chukar Waterjet Inc., St. Michael, Minn., introduces the Waterjet Cyclone waterjet-abrasive removal system, capable of extracting up to 10 lbs of garnet abrasive per minute from any waterjet cutting system. The system features a one-yard hopper requiring 25 ft² of floor space; it can be custom-sized for any waterjet tank, and can be operated while unattended.
GANTRY-SAW BLADES
Granite City Tool Co., Waite Park, Minn., offers its Rival® Silent Core diamond blades for stone gantry saws. The Red blades have sandwich diamond segments in 20mm heights; the Yellow have sequence-applied diamond segments, also at a 20mm height, placed evenly up-and-down and side-to-side to ensure consistent quality and cutting speed. The Blue blades also feature sequence-applied diamonds, but with a 26mm segment for longer life.
CNC SAWING CENTER
Thibaut S.A., Vire, France, introduces the TC650, a five-axes CNC sawing center utilizing three interpolated axes for multidirectional cutting. The saw, with a working area of up to 3600mm/141.7” X 2200mm/86.6” with a 450mm/17.7” Z-axis stroke, can cut materials up to 21cm thick with a 16.5 kW/22.1 HP spindle motor. Machine features and options include 360° disc rotation and 90° tilting head, along with a protection housing close to the cut for additional operator safety.
UNPOWERED LIFTER
Anver Corp., Hudson, Mass, offers the redesigned Mechanical Vacuum Lifter that doesn’t require compressed air or electricity for operation. The self-powered unit features a mechanism that creates a powerful suction when lowered by hoist onto a load. Suitable for handling polished stone in-plant or on the job site, the unit can accommodate narrow to wide loads up to 12’ long X 6’, in capacities up to 18,000 lbs.
