New Catalina Stone Report Ready in July
The report will include the 2010 U.S. Stone Survey from San Diego-based Ceramic Tile and Stone Consultants (CTaSC), which also announced the winners of two iPhones as part of a survey promotion.
The Catalina Natural and Manufactured Stone Products Report will provide an in-depth analysis of the U.S. and Canadian stone industry, based on government statistics and market resources. Among the topics to covered will be:
• trends and forecasts for the stone industry;
• sales by type of stone (natural, engineered, manufactured);
• imports and exports;
• sales channels; and
• cost structures and competitive environments.
“In-depth information about the stone industry is very hard to come by,” says Donato Pompo, CTaSC president. “It’s vital for all of us to know what’s going on in the market, and understand how the current state of the economy will affect our business and our future opportunities.”
As part of an effort to increase participation in the survey, Michele Aloe, sales manager of Walker Zanger in Las Vegas, and Gasper (GK) Naquin, owner of Stone Interiors in Loxley, Ala, are the raffle winners of Apple 16GB iPhone4s. The two were randomly chosen from the industry members completing the U.S. Stone Survey, conducted in April 2010 by CTaSC.
More than 2,400 manufacturers, quarries, exporters, importers, distributors, fabricators and retailers were invited to take the stone survey developed by CTaSC using progressive online technology to compile data anonymously and ensure confidentiality. Participants answered a series of questions based on their business category.
Each person completing the survey will receive a FREE summary of the survey results.
This is the third time CTaSC has conducted a stone survey; the first was in 2003, the second in 2006.
