Passings: Anthony “Tony” Brown, 74 (June 15)

Born on July 11, 1935, to Herbert and Gladys Brown in Leicester, England, he worked as an airframe mechanic for the Royal Air Force before joining Wadkin PLC in the mid 1960s to sell woodworking machinery. He moved to the United States in 1981 to manage a sales office for Wadkin; he later became a U.S. citizen.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Mary Brown; two daughters, Karen Patricia Stevens of England and Sally Ann Chapman of Holly Springs, N.C.; sister Patricia Gregoire of Mississauga, Ontario, and brother Jeffrey Brown of Ottawa, Ontario; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
