Drug Arrest at Ohio Stone Shop
Cincinnati’s WKRC-TV and the Cincinnati Enquirer reported that Drug Enforcement Agency officers made the raid at Azteca Stone and Marble, and arrested one person attempting to leave the business with a half-ton of marijuana.
The marijuana was shipped to the shop from a location near Houston, according to Federal agents. The DEA also told WKRC reporters that Aztec had received 19 crates from the same address in Texas since June.
The Enquirer reported that other shipments from the Texas source went to locations in Toledo, Ohio, and Atlanta, as well as other midwestern cities..
“It’s definitely a professional drug trafficking organization operating out of the Southwest Texas border area.” said Russ Neville, the DEA resident agent-in-charge for Cincinnati. “When you can send those amounts of dope up here you’ve got a real good connection.”
