AIM, Biesse B’kruptcy Tiff Goes On
A June 5 hearing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for North Carolina’s Western District on a petiton to force AIM into Chapter 7 liquidation is now continued until July 17.
Charlotte-based Biesse filed the action to put AIM into involuntary bankruptcy on April 9, claiming $100,874 in unpaid commissions from Hickory, N.C.-based AIM. A May 1 response from AIM claimed that Biesse violated unspecified fiduciary duties and breached an agreement.
AIM also noted that Biesse was the only one of the company’s creditors seeking the liquidation. As of May 1, AIM reported 81 creditors with unsecured debt of $505,090.
On May 27, however, Biesse’s attorney filed a notice for three of those creditors to join in seeking AIM’s Chapter 7 liquidation. Now included are Premier Transportation and Warehousing Inc. of Carson, Calif. ($15,620); Oikos Group Inc. of Delray Beach, Fla. ($9,723.88); and Newton Machine Co. Inc. of Charlotte, N.C. ($3,000).
