• The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) recently appointed Gary Bond, chief engineer at Wood’s Powr-Grip Co. in Laurel, Mont., to the ASME subcommittee concerning B30.20, the code of standards for vacuum lifting and general materials-handling products, including b below-the-hook lifting devices. Bond has been with Wood’s for 18 years, and chief engineer since 1997.
• Komo Machine Inc. promotes Sheldon Prom to international sales manager. He joined the Sauk Rapids, Minn., CNC manufacturer a year-and-a-half ago, and previously served as advertising and marketing coordinator.
• Park Industries adds Rob Bromley to the Interiors Sales Team, supporting the Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma regions; he brings more than five years of experience in the manufacturing sector, as well as seven years in the home-building trade, to the St. Cloud, Minn., manufacturer. Park also names Matt Zink as a sales associate in the Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming region for the Interiors Division; prior to his new appointment, he served as a CNC trainer for the Architectural Division for more than four-and-a-half-years. Also, Brad Emslander accepts a new position as the inside sales associate for the Architectural Division, after serving as a technical support representative and electrical technician; and Deonna Rosha moves to the Interiors Division as a sales associate after four years providing sales support.
• Ron Nash of the North American division of LATICRETE International Inc. is the Outstanding Vendor Sales Representative for 2005, as selected by Inland Northwest Distributing. Based in Utah, Nash’s territory includes Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and eastern parts of Washington for the Bethany, Conn, company; in 2005, his territory returned a remarkable increase in sales above last year’s totals.
• GranQuartz Stone and Concrete Systems hires Chris Van Veen as Mid-Atlantic Regional Sales Manager. Based in Newark, Delaware, Van Veen will cover accounts from Maine to North Carolina.
