Company Briefs – January 2006

• Castelli Marble Inc. completes its newest production facility in Mexico; with 200,000 ft² of operations on the main interbelt connecting the three cities of Torreon, Gomez Palacio, and Lerdo in the state of Durango. The Cleveland-based manufacturer of natural-stone sinks, fireplaces and other products now operates two production facilities in northern Mexico and a smaller consolidating support facility in Tecali Puebla, Mexico.
• Innovative Stone participated in an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition aired in mid-November on the ABC network. The Hauppauge, N.Y., company donated a granite kitchen countertop, a soapstone and marble vanity and an exotic granite vanity, plus a stone countertop for the laundry room. The stone went into a home remodeling on behalf of a fisherman who sacrificed his right arm to save his live in a boating accident.
